Detroit- The Detroit Tigers have announced plans to unveil a tiger exhibit in their outfield concourse for next season. A spokesperson from the team said that the team used inspiration from the Tampa Bay Rays stingray exhibit in their outfield. “If they can have wild animals swimming around, we can have wild animals roaming around.

The tigers will be placed directly behind the outfield wall in the open space. The spokesperson told us that they have been contemplating what to do with that space for a while and they decided on the tiger exhibit after a senior member of the team got a great deal on tigers from a third-party site.

The Detroit Tigers plan on installing a state-of-the-art outfield fence that can become see-through. They plan to use that for home field advantage as when the other team is trying to catch a fly ball, they will turn the see-through filter on and will use it as an intimidation factor.

Since the announcement animal rights activists have been protesting outside the stadium. In response the spokesperson for the Tigers has said that when the stadium is not being used, they will open the gate and allow the tigers to roam around the stadium freely. They also announced they will bring in other wild animals seen in the tiger’s natural atmosphere to simulate them being in the wild.

Citizens of Detroit have shown concern over the fact that wild tigers will be roaming around the stadium. We interviewed citizen Richard Head who said, “in my 50 years of living here I’ve never had more fear than I will have when the tigers arrive”. The Detroit Tigers have responded saying they will have a staff of tiger experts on site 24/7 to make sure the tigers stay in the stadium.

The tigers revolutionary exhibit could lead way to other teams following in their footsteps. Some teams that could include animal exhibits include the Baltimore Orioles, Toronto Blue Jays, St. Louis Cardinals, and Arizona Diamondbacks. We have reached out to all these teams, but none have commented back.
